Where Can I Buy Wax Beads For Candles

[Spotlight: Malorie Blackman] heaven and hell

Today I ask you
before the first of three books by Malorie Blackman.
"Heaven and Hell" is the first volume of the Alphas and Zeros, which still includes the book "Ashes and Embers" and "checkmate". On the English market in 2010 a fourth volume, entitled "Double Cross" was released, the German Release date not yet known.
I came across by chance in the library on heaven and hell and have taken it at random. I did not have too high expectations, even if the few voices that were on here to have been consistently good. Not to mention has heaven and hell made it into the top 100 books of all time in England, what you have to earn it first. After reading a few pages, I realized why the book is praised so highly.
Before I talk too but even here, in my review.

The first three sentences:

"Really, Mrs Hadley." Meggie McGregor wiped his eyes. "They put me with your humor to yet!"

Content:
Callum McGregor and Persephone Hadley, Sephy just called, are best friends since childhood. Again and again, their friendship is put to the test, because they grow in a society that is divided into Alpha and Zeros is. The Alphas are the leading class, open to all the doors, and Sephy is one of them. Callum, however, is a zero, a second class citizen who is trying still to hold on to his dreams and desires. The older the two, the more they realize that their feelings for one another go far beyond a normal friendship. But to be together as a Zero and Alpha, if there seems to be no corner of the world where this is possible? No man who had nothing wrong with it? Sephy and Callum try anyway to fight for their love. But in a society in which it is not may be even friends with Zeros and alphas, their relationship seems to be doomed to have no good end.

opinion:
Not only was I pleasantly surprised by the book, after I had read the last page, but really impressed. I've rarely read a story in which I have so kept their suffered and I've got. What Malorie Blackman has written here has touched me consistently, due in large part on its ability to describe the feelings of their characters very honest and authentic.

structure and language:
heaven and hell is told alternately from the perspective of Callum and Sephy. The Action encompasses a number of years. Malorie Blackman uses a clear, at times even beautiful language. The focus is on thoughts and feelings of the protagonists, but what has never been overcharged, or thwarting the story.

characters:
I make my beginning with Callum. He is a Zero and a shrewd head that has dreams and wants to give his life a good direction. One learns to know it at the beginning of the book. Callum tries to hold its targets, even if the life he often makes it difficult. He tried the obstacles that he be placed in the way of getting around, and swallow his grief and anger. Generally, he is someone who has his anger at the injustices usually keeps in check and rationally approach the things. Callum wants to come to an honest way to view and be recognized in society, so he works hard for the school. There are
Sephy, growing up not only as any Alpha, but as the daughter of the remarkable politician Kamal Hadley, who makes a case for, to separate Zeros and alphas. Sephy mother is indifferent and only striving to keep up appearances of a happy family. And even with her sister understands Sephy not too well. Your most important point of reference is Callum. Unlike him, Sephy is sometimes impulsive and wears her heart on his sleeve. She makes in the course of the book so some mistakes that I but could understand very well because they just fit her character.
are both a great couple together, which I have all the time fingers crossed, and in which I was hoping that they manage to stay together despite the external pressure. Callum and Sephy
addition you get to know the families. In particular, Callum and Sephy mothers, Meggie and Jasmine will be remembered, if not in every case by positive deeds. Kamal Hadley is important firstly for Sephy, but is also for all the Alphas, who want to know the zeros in its limits, in order not to lose their dominance. And then there's Jonathan, Callum's older brother, the events in motion,, change the lives of all. None of these characters is superficial, but is always clear that the focus on Sephy and Callum is.

Conclusion:
heaven and hell is not a book for the faint of heart, I say right here. But that was it I liked it so much on the book. Sometimes it feels to read as if they really slapped, because the author shielded their characters and the reader from the painful side of life from. My respect for it, because in real life there are many dark sides, through which each of us must pass - just so it was made even Sephy and Callum. The book has many different feelings in me triggered. Sometimes I was shocked or disappointed. Often I was angry at one of the characters, although I understand they usually could. To get right to the point, it has not left me cold and one seconds in the end I had to rush off even a few tears - and that really create the fewest books.
heaven and hell I can really recommend it.
